Fort Worth Country Day has run Black & White Images for close to four decades. It’s a juried competition open to high school photographers from public and private schools across North Texas, and only black-and-white work qualifies. The year Ahan entered, the competition was judged by Bill Curtsinger, a photographer for National Geographic. Ahan’s Crossing placed third in the Experimental Photography category, out of 547 entries from 16 schools.
