I’m Ahan Jain, a photographer and videographer from Dallas and a senior at Greenhill School. Visuals by Ahan is my studio.

On the sideline, I shoot photo and video for NBA and collegiate athletes, work that started with Greenhill football games.

My personal work is about the gap between how people look and what they’re actually carrying. I shoot digital and Polaroid and work by hand in the darkroom, including mordançage, where I bleach a print until the emulsion loosens and peel it back.

That work earned a Scholastic National Gold Medal, which I accepted at Carnegie Hall, and has been shown at Hecho en Dallas and Blue Print Gallery. I’ve been featured on Fox 4 News, and my portfolio has passed 1 million views.

Thanks to Frank Lopez, who taught me to make work that actually says something.
